10 Killed In Five-Story Building Collapse In Syria
No fewer than ten persons, including a child have been killed in a collapsed building in Syria’s second city of Aleppo on January 22, 2023.
The collapsed five-storey structure, located at the city’s Sheikh Maksoud neighbourhood fell down as a due to a water leak in the building’s foundations.
As effort to the victims were ongoing, the Sheikh Maksoud neighbourhood is principally occupied by Syrian Kurds, constituting fighters, many of whom fled from Afrin after Turkey began an offensive there in 2018.
