Algerian Fans Blast Olise For Turning Down Invitation

Prospective Super Eagles player Michael Olise, has come under heavy criticism from the Desert Foxes fans after he turned down an invitation to play their national team.

Olise had turned down Algeria invitation believing that either France or Nigeria will come for him at the appropriate time.

“He has a certain attachment to the Nigerian team and that is why he accepted a call up to the team two years ago. He didn’t honour it due to issue and also the sack of the coach but he still has Nigeria in mind, if he doesn’t make it with the French team,” a sources said.

“His decision to turn down an invitation from Algeria has led to talks of them shaming him that he can’t get into the Nigerian team but I can tell you, if Nigeria come calling at the right time he will jump on it,” the source added.

It could be recalled that Olise has in the past represented France at the Youth level.
