Appreciation: Staff Mops From Entrance Road To Minister’s Office

Everybody wants to be appreciated but a few work towards it. Some people might have worked more than what it takes to be appreciated, either not noticed or what he/she thought that deserves appreciation wasn’t good enough to attract such recommendation. Appreciation encourages the struggling MAN to do MORE.

It was reported some time ago, a cleaner in one of the Ministry was appreciated with the sum of N1 million including scholarship award to her son, now studying Medicine in one of the first generation University.

Could you believe that this industrious woman as a way of reciprocating the management, decides to be cleaning the road from the main entrance down to the Minister’s office. That’s the POWER OF APPRECIATION.

There’s an IBO proverb that says, “eto dike nanke omere omeozo”. Meaning – If you appreciate someone for what he/she has done, he/she will DO MORE.

A lot of people have done what it takes to be recognized in their places of work, Community even the Association they belong to but was denied recognition.

Many who couldn’t stand what they called CHEATING opted out from such organization. This singular act of ungratefulness to deserving members of any organization has brought a lot of issues that lead to disintegration of the establishment.

A man who does not have sympathy may not appreciate his subordinate. Promotion may be too far in such office headed by such individual.

You can’t please some people no matter the effort and sacrifice to push the organization forward. He’s not interested; always a Fault Finder. Perseverance is the only option as far as that environment is concerned.

Back to community circle, the few that devotes their time and Money in making sure the community is at PEACE first before development should equally be encouraged and not condemned.

Appreciation is the key to more good things to come no matter how small one may view it. Let’s learn how to SAY THANK YOU. It’s extremely important and necessary.
