Bayelsa Government Bashes Sylva Over Alleged Role In Election Manipulation
Afimag.com –
The Bayelsa State Government has bashed the Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, for alleged effort to divert attention from his manipulation of Saturday’s House of Assembly election in his constituency.
The election monitoring group has accused Sylva of trying to come in terms with electoral officials in view to changing the results from certain polling units.

A statement by Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ayibaina Duba, urged Sylva to deal with the accusations rather than launching attack on Governor Douye Diri.
It said, “The government challenged Sylva to explain his presence at an INEC collation center, why known APC thugs were intimidating voters suspected to be PDP supporters.
“Sylvia was returning to his habitual terrain of election rigging and manipulation once the election results do not favor him and his party.”
The government warned Sylva against inciting violence, saying that those responsible for violent conducts during elections would not go unpublished.
