May 29: Delta CP Abass Assures Residents Of Adequate Security

The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Wale Abass, has assured residents of the state of a hitch free inauguration ceremony scheduled for May 29, 2023.

Abass has also ordered massive deployment of security personnel across the state including the venue of the event, the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, to provide adequate security before, during and after the ceremony.

A statement by the state police command spokesman, DSP Edafe Bright, said the deployment of the security personnel will ensure protection of all residents in the state and the success of the activities to mark the occasion.

According to Edafe, the command will be tough on mischief makers trying to instigate any form of hostility before, during, and after the celebration.

Edafe added that the intended hoodlums will be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

The statement reads in part, “To this effect, the CP has ordered Continuous ‘OPERATION SHOW OF FORCE’ across the State, so resident should be calm when they notice increase presence of police patrol teams within their locality.

“The CP urges members of the public to be law abiding while assuring them that the Command remains committed to its core mandate of providing security, maintenance of law and protection of lives and properties among other duties in the State.

“CP Wale Abass, on behalf of officers and men of the command, wishes Deltans and Nigerians, in general, a successful Inauguration ceremony.”
