NYC DG Unveils Distress Call Center As Over 200,000 Corps Members Participate In Elections

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has said that more than 200,000 Corps Members would participate in the conduct of general elections.
The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, who disclosed this in Abuja, cautioned corps members against unlawful act during the election.
The NYSC Boss urged corps members to abstain from any form of gratification that would compromise the authenticity of electoral outcome, and avoid any flash points.
The DG also unveiled a distress call center that would enable corps members to get help in case of any security on alert.
He noted that corps members would not work at high security prone areas, and advised those on electoral duties to be fully dressed in their corpers uniforms.
While saying that adequate trainings had been given to the corps members, Ahmed warned that any corps member found to have compromised would face the full wrath of the law.
The Director General advised the corps members to reach out to the scheme through it’s new four digits distress call number.
