Again, Bandits Kidnap 80 In Zamfara

80 persons have been kidnapped by bandits on the run along Kucheri, Wanzamai and Gidan Chida in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.

A majority of the victims are minors who were working on their respective farmlands across the affected villages.

Other victims were from Yankara community in Faskari local government area of Katsina State.

Two days before the abductions, a team of security operatives killed suspected terrorists during an encounter in Gidan-Damo Community of Tsafe local government area.

According to Radio Nigeria gathered the raids by the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Rugu forest against bandits was successful, leading to the killing of many bandits which forced them to leave their enclave.

In a statement issued by the Zamfara state police command in a statement has cautioned the public to disregard the outrageous figures being circulated on some media platforms.

According to the statement signed by the command’s public relations officer CSP Muhammad Shehu the police has reassured the public especially families of the victims that, the command in collaboration with the Military and Vigilante are making efforts to rescue the victims.
