Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have declared that the APC remains one united family in the state, with no faction or division within its ranks.
The stakeholders made this declaration during a well-attended meeting held on Saturday in Ughelli, where they reaffirmed their total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and the party’s leadership at all levels ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the meeting, the Executive Director, Business Development, NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotete, expressed delight at the renewed unity and strength of the APC in Ughelli North, describing the gathering as a clear sign that the party was back on track.
“I want to thank everybody that is sitting here today. Your presence here shows that there is only one APC in Ughelli North, and every genuine member of the party is seated right here,” Okotete said.
She lamented that such a meeting had not been held for more than two years, noting that Saturday’s gathering reflected the rekindled commitment and solidarity among APC members in the local government.
“For the past two years plus, we have not had a meeting like this. But today, we are having one that shows our strength, our unity, and our readiness to deliver for Mr. President come 2027,” she stated.
Okotete reaffirmed that the APC in Ughelli North remains intact, organized, and focused on sustaining its winning streak in future elections.
“We will continue to deliver our House of Assembly seats, our Senate, and our House of Representatives seats come 2027,” she declared, describing those present as the “true pillars” of the party in the local government.
According to her, the renewed cooperation within the party signifies a new dawn for Ughelli North, one that will usher in prosperity, effective governance, and inclusive leadership.
“This new dawn is going to bring prosperity to everyone in Ughelli. It’s going to bring proper leadership; leadership that sees everyone as partners in development, not one higher or lesser,” she said.
Okotete further expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s administration and Governor Oborevwori’s government would continue to collaborate closely with the people of Delta State to promote development and progress across all sectors.
She also affirmed the unity and stability of the APC leadership in Delta State, assuring members of stronger coordination ahead of the next party congresses and elections.
“The party chairman, Mr. Samson Evwighono has our full backing and blessings. He will be back to address us as we move into the next phase to ensure we are well positioned and united. There is no opposition here; we are moving forward as one,” Okotete emphasized.
The meeting, which attracted key APC leaders, elders, and stakeholders from across Ughelli North, ended with renewed commitments to grassroots mobilization and unwavering support for the party’s development agenda and leadership direction.
