Unknown gunmen has on Tuesday killed one police inspector along Kwale-Asaba road and took away his AK-47 rifle.
The three-man-gang who was armed with AK-47 rifles attacked the mobile police officers on check point close to Obetim-Uno secondary School, killing one Inspector Alex Nwachukwu.
The sad incident which saw many travellers scampered for safety took place around 4pm.
Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that the gunmen unexpectedly jumped out from the bush and opened fire on the safer highway team.
At the time of filing this report, it was not ascertained whether some of the police officers sustained bullet injuries during the attack.
Meanwhile, the remains of Inspector Alex Nwachukwu has been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary. The police have commenced investigation to fish out the perpetrators.
It could be recalled that about two months ago, unidentified persons attacked Police officers at Ashaka, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State, killing one Inspector Musa and setting the police van ablaze.
Ndokwa nation has never been a nation of violence and killing it is this time. Where are the politicians representing Ndokwa nation? Where are the traditional rulers?
