Columnist: BETWEEN PARENT & INLAW WHO BENEFITS MORE FROM SON?

Moment of Truth is at it again. The debate on who benefits more from rich son in-law and the parents is currently on going in some quarters. It’s a serious topic that readers should feel free to share their opinion on the basis they chose to be the reasons for the young man’s action.
I won’t go into details of the Parents’ sacrifices to ensure the growth of the children were not tempered from the early stages to adulthood. They denied themselves so many things to see to the educational level of our wellbeing.
Now as an adult, well educated, have a good job while some find themselves in business world doing extremely well that brought them to limelight at this stage financially independent and decided to marry either through the source of the parents or personal efforts.
The bottom line is that the young man, the parents and the inlaws. It’s obvious to notice the sudden change of the young man after getting married. It’s seems parents are no longer in existence, all attention shifted to inlaws and the entire family of the wife.
Most of our young men today are only kind to the woman’s side while keeping off from the root, the parents. Some built palatial home within the same community with the wife but prefer sleeping in the wife’s family face me I face you unkempt compound.
The young man could be in a position of authority to employ workers, again he prefers employing from the other side, leaving his brothers and sisters applicant, what can one trace to be the root causes of the abnormal behavior?
Parents no longer enjoy the fruits of their labour. It is so painful and this has resulted to the early departure of parents with light heart. They are there everywhere. Where they hipnotised that they can’t recognise their early beginnings? Is it a crime to get married or what? Is it now you know your family is witch and can harm you?
Remember, you were with them, eating and sleeping in the same roof nothing happened to you. Why now you discovered what they are not. Really status changes some people’s mindset. Brother, look back , make your parents happy because what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
It shouldn’t be as “e dem sweet them e dey pain us”. Our followers, how can both parents and in-laws enjoy the millionaire son without any acts of preferential treatment?
