Delta PDP Chieftain, Onoriode Hails Oborevwori’s Plan To Relocate SPDC To Warri

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Director of Protocol, Government House, Asaba, Delta State, Chief Sunday Onoriode, has hailed the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on his plans to relocate Shell Petroleum Development Company, (SPDC) back to Warri, Delta state.

The Director of Protocol, Chief Onoriode who spoke to newsmen at his Asaba residence at the weekend, said Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s plans to transform Delta state is unfolding gradually with the recent move to relocate Shell Petroleum Development Company, (SPDC) back to Warri.

The Shell Petroleum Development Company, (SPDC), had in 2013 relocated its Western Operational Headquarters from Warri, but Gov. Oborevwori in his initiative and plans, through the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Vincent Oyibode, SPDC will soon relocate some of its departments back to Warri.

While thanking His Excellency, Governor Oborevwori’s bold steps and initiative to give Delta state a facelift in his administration, Chief Onoriode said the plans to bring back SPDC, construct three flyover bridges and other development in the state is a clear indication of the governor’s proactive measure to develop the state.

Onioriode who was very optimistic about the proposed plans by the Oborevwori’s administration to transform Delta state, appealed that the only thing the state government would need from Deltans is no other thing but relative peace that will usher in unprecedented development across thr state.

Making further appeal to Deltans and non indigenes, irrespective of political party, Chief Onoriode charged all Deltans to join hands and support the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for massive development across board, stating that business can only strive in a violence-free environment.

Onoriode appealed to all youths across the state to shun all form of violence, mostly in the area of ‘deve’ so as to allow the state governor implement his developmental plans to bring Delta state into the comity of states for the betterment of all Deltans and beyond.

The Director of Protocol said there is no gainsaying the fact that Warri will no doubt return back to its past glory now that the state is having ‘full fledge Warri Boy’ as governor of Delta state, stating that the moment SPDC team and Governor Oborevwori done with negotiations the beauty of Warri will return in its full glare of glory.
