Dreams Come Through As IAFF Flags Off Empowerment Scheme In Delta

A non-governmental and non-profit organization, Ifeoma Aguba Fadahunsi Foundation, IAFF, on October 19, 2024, kicked off an empowerment scheme through its Ifeoma Skill Acquisition Program, ISAP.

The flag off of empowerment scheme whose beneficiaries cut across all tribes in Delta State, was held at Owesse Primary School, Kwale, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.

The event highlighted the accreditation and presentation of the Foundation’s T-shirts to over 100 candidates sponsored by IAFF in acquisition of respective skills with starter packs to be provided on completion of skills acquisition.

Core areas of the Foundation to mention but few are skills acquisition, charity, educational grants, social development services, among others.

Speaking, the Chairman, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Chief Vincent Osilonya, thanked the founder of IAFF, Mrs. Ifeoma Aguba Fadahunsi, for her initiatives and philanthropic disposition towards Deltans.

Osilonya, who was represented by the Secretary of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Hon. Tunji Iyasele, urged prominent sons and daughters of Ukwuani extraction to emulate Ifeoma Aguba Fadahunsi, saying that “it is wonderful giving back to the society”.

According to Hon. Iyasele, mitigating of hardship in the contemporary Nigeria and improving living standard of the people would reduce crime rate in the country.

He said; “I encourage people to emulate what this lady (Ifeoma Aguba Fadahunsi) and her husband are doing. It is wonderful giving back to the society.

“What they did here is highly commendable. They are improving lives; reducing crimes in the society. I have always told people that we are not carrying money to the underworld. It is what you do while alive you would be remembered for after passage to enteral glory.

He promised to put head together with the executive chairman of the Ndokwa East Local Government Area on how to synergize with the Foundation to better lots of the people.

On her part, Chief (Mrs) Faith Onah, described the IAFF which started from Ndokwa West LGA and spread to other Local Gobernment Areas, as “God-sent”.

She said, “the Foundation is here doing the needful; blessing people, shows that God sends them to Delta State. Last year, they did wonderfully. This year, they started another great job.

“This year, they’re here to train the male youths, female youths on skills acquisition. And it is not easy. Governments are doing their own. But this is a Foundation, an NGO that loves Delta State. They are here to train our children for a better future.

She added that Ifeoma Aguba Fadahunsi Foundation is committed to pulling the people out of poverty in the face of economic downturn bitting so hard on Nigerians.
