EFCC Boss Tasks Nigerians on Whistle Blowing As He Meets Leaders of Mofeto Miracle Church
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has urged Nigerians to see whistleblowing policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria as a means of exposing corruption.
EFCC Principal gave the advice on Wednesday when he met with the group of social media influencers under the platform of Mofeto Miracle Church in his office.

Bawa noted that whistleblowing policy has in no small measure assisted in exposing corruption that led to financial and assets recovery.
He said that whistleblowing policy is still in force as it provides the opportunity for any individual to have certain percentages from what the commission recovers through the tip off.
He said, “The Policy is still very much in force, and the whistle blowers have the opportunity for legitimate earning by exposing economic and financial crimes that lead to financial recovery.”

He however encouraged Nigerians to utilize the commission’s software to achieve their purpose.
Bawa who listed the software to include Reporting App, Eagle Eye said that they can be downloaded from Google Play Store or App Store, to report economic and financial crimes cases.
Reacting, the group leader and Human Rights Activist, Richard Akinola Author, explained that they have evaluated the effort of the EFCC Boss towards curbing the menace of corruption in the state.

While pledging total support for the commission, the group hinted that drastic effort is needed to fight corruption which had to a large extent, placed the country in the dark for over the decade.
“We have followed very closely the performance of the Bawa-led EFCC and have realized that concerted efforts are needed in the corruption fight. They promised to partner with the Commission in the fight against economic and financial crimes,” they said.
