The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has assured that the Command would keep up its efforts to combat crime and enhance public safety as well as security across the State during and after the forthcoming Eid-El-fitr celebration.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, SP. Edafe Bright, said the Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, felicitated with the Muslim Ummah residents in the state celebrating the year’s Eid-El-Fitr.
It said CP Abaniwonda has deployed officers of the command to all Muslim worship centers, nooks and crannies of the state to step up security in statutory mandate of securing lives and properties, adding that the security operatives in the state are committed to maintaining peace and order at all times.
He urged members of the public to continue to assist and collaborate with the police and other security agencies to enable them to serve the good people of the state better.
He admonished them to be security conscious, law abiding and take appropriate measures towards personal protection and their personal effects, not only at home but also in public places such as markets, worship centers, shopping malls and highways.
The Commissioner of Police on behalf of officers and men of the Command, wishes all Muslims faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-El-fitr celebration.
