Gunmen Kill Judge During Court Sitting In Imo

Unidentified Gunmen have killed the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court, Nnaemeka Ugboma, in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

Nnaemeka Ugboma was killed on February 02, 2023 by criminal minded elements who operated in motorcycles while court was sitting.

The ugly event brought the court sitting to an abrupt end as lawyers, court staff and litigants scamper for their safety.

It was gathered that the deceased hailed from Nnebukwu community in Oguta LGA of the state. The incident caused tension in Ejemekwuru community as residents fled their homes.

It was further gathered the victim was a law graduate of 1991 set. He was killed in his court while sitting. His killers came with motorcycles. They came into the court, dragged him out and shot him dead and drove off.
