House Of Reps To Discharge Committees Not Living Up To Expectations

Nigeria House of Representatives has given all standing and Ad-hoc committees a grace of two weeks to accomplish their goals and report to the House.
Failure to comply with the latest directive would amount to discharging such committees for not living up to expectations.
This, according to the green chamber, was in line with the Standing Orders of the House, as referred to as Order 18 (3f).
Africa Investigative Magazine learned that the committees could have been relieved of their duties on April 07, 2022, but were given two weeks of grace.
The two weeks grace became paramount as committee heads appealed to the House for more time to round off their work, while others gave some reasons, including insufficient funding.
