Ifeanyi’s Death: What Davido Said About 2023 Father’s Day

Afro-beats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has commented on the 2023’s Father’s Day widely celebrated by Christians across the country.

The popular musician who recalled how the death of his son, Ifeanyi, affected him admitted that this year’s Father’s Day is a difficult one for him.

In his emotional post on social media, Davido lamented that he was filled with tears on this day that the rest of the world celebrated Father’s Day.

Recall that Davido whose latest album, Timeless, hits global scene lost his first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, last year.

Ifeanyi drowned in their home’s swimming pool, leading to the arrest of his domestic staff by Lagos State Police Command.

The three-year-old pupil drowned at the Unavailable crooner’s Banana Island home while he was away with his wife and the mother of the child, Chioma.

He wrote, “Difficult Father’s Day for me… But thank God for strength. Some days will be like this. Water full my eyes but I’ll be alright! Forever!”
