Irate Youths Set Commissioner’s Residence On Fire, Destroy Vehicles

Irate Youths have yesterday reportedly set ablaze the residence of Sokoto State Commissioner for Careers and Security Matters, Colonel Garba Moyi, for collaborating with terrorists.

Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that the same youth destroyed the vehicles of District Head of the area, Sarkin Gobir of Isa Alhaji Nasiru Ahamad for defending the activities of criminal gangs in the area.

The incident took place at Isa Local Government Area, Sokoto State.

Afimag further gathered that people of the Area accused the duo of working with the bandits terrorizing the area.

Reacting, the Sokoto State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Sanusi Abubakar said the incident happened on Tuesday, and that the police were at the helm of the matter.

Sanusi Abubakar said, “no life was involved, and as soon as the investigation was completed, details would be made known to the public.”

He, however, appealed to the people in the area to be law-abiding, saying that the police would ensure the security of lives and properties in the state.
