Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, calling on citizens to reflect on the enduring values of faith, sacrifice, and devotion to God.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, Jonathan described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant spiritual event that serves as a powerful reminder of obedience, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to divine principles.

He noted that such virtues remain essential in fostering harmony and strengthening the bonds that unite humanity.

The former president urged Muslims to continue to embody the spirit of generosity and compassion that defines the season, emphasizing that these values are critical to promoting peace and stability in society.

Jonathan further called on all Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds, to draw inspiration from the lessons of the festival by embracing unity, tolerance, and mutual respect.

According to him, collective commitment to these ideals would help drive national progress and prosperity.

He said; “As Muslims around the world reflect on the spirit of obedience and generosity, let us as a nation draw from these virtues to deepen unity, show compassion, and build bridges of brotherhood.”
