Odili Ogochukwu –
The Delta House of Assembly has placed the Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state, Mr Amechi Juan on indefinite suspension over financial related offences.
The Ndokwa East Local Government Boss who was suspended on March 28, 2023, was accused of financial misappropriation, leaking of official documents, refusal to submit monthly income and expenditures and others.
Recall that Africa Investigative Magazine, recently, reported the impeachment of Ndokwa West Legislative Arm Leader, Rt Hon Ndubuisi Okoloafor and suspension of two other counsellors over variety of offences.
Sources from Ndokwa East LGA alleged that the Council Boss was not on the same page with the ‘party top officials‘, who suspected anti-party activities on the part of Amechi Juan.
The State House of Assembly, however, established an adhoc committee to look into the allegations brought against him by the legislative arm, Ndokwa East Local Government Area.
