Maiduguri Central Market Gutted By Fire

The Maiduguri Central market popularly known as the Monday Market has been gutted by fire at the early hours of February 26, 2023.

The Sunday fire outbreak is still fuming with men of the fire service doing everything within their powers to subdue it.

The cause of the fire outbreak has not been ascertained at the time of filing this report.

The state Director of Fire Service, Umaru Kirawa who reacted to the incident said that the state, Federal and other fire units from various institutions have joined to contain the inferno.

“We have fully deployed to contain the situation,” Kirawa said.
