Nasiru Idris Declared Kebbi Governor-Elect

The Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasiru Idris has been declared the winner of the 2023 Governorship election in Kebbi State.
Announcing the result at the State Collation Center, Birnin Kebbi, the Returning Officer, Professor Yusuf Saidu said Nasiru Idris scored the highest votes (409,225) and was therefore returned elected.
According to the state Returning Officer, the PDP candidate, Aminu Bande garnered 360,940 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on April 16, 2023, resumed the collation and release of results from the supplementary election.
The Electoral Body has on April 15 conducted supplementary election for Governorship and State House of Assemble in some States.
Recall that on March 27, 2023, the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye in a statement said this was necessary to conclude the outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly elections which was disrupted in some states.
This includes Governorship election in Adamawa and Kebbi States, three states participated in the Senatorial election, 15 states for federal constituency election and 17 for State Assembly election.
