Nigeria’s Warri Refinery Roars Back to Life with 125,000 Barrels Per Day Production
In a significant milestone for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, the Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) has commenced production at a capacity of 125,000 barrels per day.
Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), announced the development during a visit to the facility in Warri, Delta State.
Kyari expressed his pride and optimism about the refinery’s potential, saying, “We want you to see that this is real.”
He acknowledged that the refinery is still in the process of reaching full capacity.
The tour team included Farouk Ahmen, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
