Obi Cubana Commends Oborevwori’s Leadership, Reaffirms December 2026 Delivery of Millennium City Asaba

Chairman of the Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for fostering a governance environment that encourages investment, inclusive growth and sustainable urban development.

Iyiegbu gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Asaba, where he was accompanied by the Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze.

The visit coincided with the dedication of the Cubana Millennium City Asaba project, underscoring the growing collaboration between the Delta State Government and private sector investors in driving economic development.

In a statement shared via his verified Facebook page, the business leader described Governor Oborevwori’s leadership as people-centred and development-driven, noting that the administration’s openness has helped boost investor confidence in the state.

He praised the Governor for his accessibility and commitment to creating a conducive business environment, stating that such leadership is critical to attracting long-term private investments capable of generating employment and expanding the state’s economic base.

Speaking on the Cubana Millennium City Asaba project, Iyiegbu described the development as a major addition to the state’s emerging urban landscape, positioning it as a modern mixed-use estate designed to support residential, commercial and lifestyle needs.

He reaffirmed the Cubana Group’s commitment to project delivery, assuring prospective homeowners and investors that the first phase of the estate is scheduled for completion and occupation by December 2026.

Cubana Millennium City Asaba is expected to contribute to Asaba’s growth as a fast-rising urban centre, complementing the Oborevwori administration’s MORE Agenda, which prioritises infrastructure expansion, economic diversification and improved quality of life for residents across Delta State.
