Deltans remain resolute in their allegiance to Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, impervious to the calumnious machinations of Pararan, a mercenary scribe beholden to shadowy forces. It has become apparent that certain politicians, intimidated by Ogboru’s unwavering commitment to public service, are covertly sponsoring Pararan’s odious campaign to besmirch his reputation.
Pararan’s tactics are a masterclass in futility, a desperate attempt to undermine Ogboru’s credibility and sow discord among his legion of devoted followers. However, Deltans see through this subterfuge, recognizing in Ogboru a steadling champion of democratic principles and a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
During Pararan’s video speech, he could not deny the fact that Chief Ogboru had organic followers and remains the most popular politician of all time in Delta state when compared to the likes of Dr. Uduaghan, Okowa, Rt Hon. Sheriff, and other past governors. He concluded that no popularity of any politician in Delta state can match that of Ogboru. This speech confirms that Chief Ogboru is the people’s choice, while Pararan’s media bullying is driven by monetary gain.
We believe that individuals who fear Ogboru’s mandate are the ones fueling Pararan’s vicious attacks, but their efforts will be futile. Deltans have invested their trust in Ogboru and will continue to support his vision of a prosperous Delta state that will be free from corruption and ineptitude.
We all witnessed how the APC campaign train in the 2023 general election was marked by tragedy when the APC campaign train capsized on their way from a campaign, claiming lives in Bomadi river. Similarly, the Isoko House of Assembly bye-election was also marred by violence where people lost their lives. Today, we’re grateful it wasn’t Ogboru’s campaign train involved, as Pararan and his paymasters would have exploited it to tarnish his image and call Ogboru all kinds of names.
Throughout the political journey of Chief Ogboru, there was no such tragedy, yet Pararan wouldn’t allow Ogboru to be. No doubt, during the struggle for Delta’s liberation, many died, but it’s unfair to blame Ogboru for these losses because supporters of other politicians also died. No one is immortal, and those who died were part of a collective movement. If anyone was killed simply because he or she supported Ogboru, it’s the killer of such a person that should be responsible, not Ogboru, who leads the liberation movement and is a champion of peace and development. We will continue to mourn those who lost their lives in this collective effort and remember their sacrifice.
It’s clear that Pararan’s allegations are baseless, having been debunked, and his attempts to portray Ogboru as a maker of the poor have fallen flat. It’s on record that today the former Deputy President of the Senate today is the highest-ranking politician in Urhobo land and Delta state in general, owes his election and promotion to Ogboru’s struggle. Thousands of people have benefited from Ogboru’s efforts, including individuals who never thought they can even be classroom teachers but became House of Assembly members thanks to Ogboru’s struggle.
I watched as Pararan tried his best to ruin Ogboru’s reputation, but it only served to affirm Chief Ogboru’s clean record, untainted by corruption. Throughout Pararan’s video speech, We will continue to stand with Ogboru, united for a better Delta state, and won’t be deterred. Those seeking to destroy Ogboru, fronting Pararan, will ultimately destroy themselves as Pararan media bullying will only end up promoting Ogboru the more.
