Ondo Assembly Commences Impeachment Process Of Deputy Gov

The Ondo State House of Assembly has commenced the impeachment process of the deputy governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Assembly accused the embattled deputy governor of being involved in some acts of gross misconduct while in office as a acting governor.

It was gathered that during the plenary session on September 20, 2023, the Assembly directed the Clerk of the House, Mr Benjamin Jaiyeola, to notity Aiyedatiwa of the allegations preferred against him.

The petition, signed by Nine out of 26 Members of the House was read during the plenary presided by the Speaker, Mr Olamide Oladiji.
