Pa Diri’s Death: PDP Leaders, CAN, 16 Brigade Commander, Others Condole Diri

PDP Caucus leaders across the 8 Local Government Area have paid a condolence visit to Governor Douye Diri, over the death of his father, Pa Abraham Diri.

Also today, the family of the Governor’s in-law from Kaiama, the Zuofas were in Sampou to commiserate with the Governor.

The Governor’s wife who hails from Kaiama, Honourable Justice Patience Ama Zuofa Diri, was on hand to receive his family members.

Today also, the people of Ayamasa in Ekeremor LGA, were in Sampou to pay their own visit.

Also, the Bayelsa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) under the leadership of Revd. Father Joseph Opelema, paid their condolences to the family.

Others who paid condolence visits included the Commander 16 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lt. General Yakassai, described the death of Late Pa Abraham Diri, as a great loss not only to people of Bayelsa but to the nation, given his invaluable contributions to the teaching profession.

He noted that Pa Diri lived a life of great impact on the society and urged the family to be consoled by the legacies left behind by their late patriarch.
