Soyinka Berates FG Over Iyiola’s Appointment, Wants Bola Ige’s Files Revisited
Nigerian literary icon, Prof Wole Soyinka, would be involved in the legal battle to fish out the murderers of the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige.
The literary giant had an interaction session with the media on April 07, 2022, in Lagos, where he spoke on topic he titled; ‘Forget the past, forfeit the future: A nation seceding from humanity’.
Wole Soyinka challenged Nigerian Government to revisit Chief Bola Ige’s files to commence investigation again.

The Professor of literature was not comfortable with the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari over the appointment of Mr. Iyiola Omisore who was the suspected killer of the erstwhile Minister.
Recall that Iyiola Omisore has recently emerged as the national secretary of All Progressives Party (APC) under the watch of President Buhari.

Bola Ige was alleged to have been killed in Ibadan, Oyo State on December 23, 2001 by Iyiola Omisore and his gang.
They were arrested and tried for involvement in his killing but were all acquitted.
Commenting, Wole Soyinka described Iyiola’s emergence as a mockery to Ige’s justice, saying that Buhari did not fulfill his campaign promises.
