Stakeholders Urge President Tinubu to Revive Economy in 2025

As the world bids farewell to 2024, Nigerian stakeholders from various sectors have called on President Bola Tinubu to prioritize economic growth and development in the coming year.

The stakeholders, including representatives from the manufacturing, education, local government, security, and economic sectors, expressed optimism that 2025 would bring better economic prospects for Nigerians.

The Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, stressed the need for fiscal policy and tax reforms to stimulate growth in the manufacturing sector.

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, urged the government to prioritize education, ensuring that young Nigerians have access to quality education without financial burdens.

The Secretary-General of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Mohammed Abubakar, and the National President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Akeem Ambali, called for the implementation of local government autonomy.

Security consultant Dr. Kabir Adamu, also emphasized the need for the president to ensure the security of lives and property, as stated in the Nigerian Constitution.

The National Publicity Secretary, Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, painted a bleak picture of Nigeria’s economy in 2024, calling for a reduction in fuel prices, a strengthened naira, and improved power supply to support small businesses.

As Nigerians welcome 2025, stakeholders urged President Tinubu to take decisive action to address the country’s economic challenges.
