Two Dead, 50 Trapped As Building Collapses In Abuja

A two-story commercial complex under construction in Gwarinpa district, Abuja, has collapsed killing two persons.

50 persons were also trapped in the tragic incident that took place on February 02, 2023. About seven persons have been rescued and taken to hospital.

At press time, the cause of the collapse was not yet ascertained as rescuers were busy evacuating the debris that trapped the workers.

The building collapsed when the workers on the site, especially laborers were conveying blocks to the top floor. The workers were more than 50.
