Spanish footballer, Hector Bellerin has made a shocking new year outburst, saying that football stars should pay more taxes than other professionals to sustain the stability of society.

Bellerin who recently signed for Barcelona with a salary of 500,000 Euroes said footballers should be the people that pay the most taxes, adding that he signed for Barca because his economic situation allows him to enjoy all he wants.

According to him, “Footballers should be the people that pay the most in taxes. We should be the ones willing to help the stability of our society.

Bellerin said he signed for Barça with a salary of 500,000 euros because his economic situation allows him to enjoy whatever he wants.

“Yes, I am a leftist. I have nothing to hide. We need to have a society that moves forward, where everyone helps each other. In this sense, I would like to see more activism from other players, but I understand that it’s difficult.”

The 29 years old who said the first thing he did with his first professional paycheck was to buy a Gucci toilet bag, added that he does not care about material things anymore.

While saying that his life isn’t based on money as he lived a very simple life, the Barca right back side, “Footballers are dehumanized now. We live in a bubble, completely alienated from the rest of society. We’re getting farther away from the fans every single day, and I don’t like it.”
