Auto Crash: Wike Thanks God For Saving Jonathan, Condoles Families Of Lost Aides

Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has condoled with former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan over the death of two security officers attached to his convoy.

Wike thanked God for saving Goodluck Jonathan in an auto crash that consumed two of his police aides.

Recall that Former President Jonathan’s convoy was involved in accident on April 06, 2022 close to Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, but Jonathan came out unhurt.

Inspector Ibrahim Abazi and Yakubu Toma were the two dead officers while others who sustained various degrees of injuries were taking treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Commenting, Governor Wike who was shocked over the incident prayed to God to grant the deceased families the fortitude to bear the loss.

Thanking God for sparing the life of the Former President, Wike said; “I was so elated to hear that President Goodluck Jonathan escaped unhurt. I thank God Almighty for sparing his life and that of others in the convoy.”

Governor Wike, however said he was devastated to hear that two police aides of the former President lost their lives, while others sustained injuries in the accident.

“It is very heartbreaking to hear that the accident claimed the lives of two police personnel, and may God grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

“I pray to God to give President Jonathan all the strength to overcome the scars of this painful accident.”
