YULETIDE: Police Reiterate Ban On Fire Works, Knock-Out, Others

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC(+) has called on the general public to abstain from using fireworks such as knockout, banger, and more during the festive period.

CP Ari Muhammed Ali posited that the ban on fireworks is not lifted, and said, the police will enforce the laws that forbid their sales.

While advising parents and guardians to ensure their children and wards refrain from such acts, the force commissioner warned the dealers on the products to withdraw from the sales.

According to the Press Release made available to Africa Investigative Magazine by the Police Public Relations Officer, Dsp. Bright Edafe, offenders would be arrested and prosecuted by respective authorities.

The Police Commissioner, however, implores the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to comply fully with the directives in their areas of responsibility.

He disclosed that ‘undercover Police Operatives have been deployed to apprehend the defaulters.

BAN ON FIREWORKS STILL IN FORCE
YULETIDE: The Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC(+) has announced that the ban on the use of fireworks is still in force and that the Command will enforce all the extant laws prohibiting the use of fireworks such as ‘knock-out’, ‘banger’ etc especially during this Yuletide season.
Parents/Guardians are advised to guide their children and wards to desist from using them. Retailers of such goods are equally warned to withdraw from the sales of these products as anyone arrested will be prosecuted.
To this end, the CP has directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers, and Tactical Commanders to ensure strict compliance with the ban on fireworks in their respective Areas of Responsibility. Undercover Police Operatives have also been deployed to arrest anyone found wanting. The CP while assuring residents of their safety at all times also calls on residents to continue to partner with the Police and other security agencies by providing useful information in their untiring efforts at providing a peaceful and secured environment for them all.
