10th Assembly: Speaker Abbas Announces Principal Officers

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has announced Rt. Hon. Julius Ihonvbere of Edo State as the House Majority Leader.

Abbas disclosed this at resumed plenary on July 04, 2023, while reading letters from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and minority caucus.

The Speaker also announced Rt. Hon. Usman kumo of Gombe State as Chief Whip of Nigeria House of Representatives.

Rt. Hon. Halims Abdulahi from Kogi as Deputy Majority Leader and Rt. Hon. Oriyomi Onanuga from Ogun as the Deputy Chief Whip were also named by Abbas.

The Speaker equally, announced Rt. Hon. Kingsley Chinda (PDP, Rivers) as the Minority Leader; Hon.

Ali Isah (Gombe) Minority Whip; Madaki Aliyu (NNPP, Kano) is the Deputy Minority Leader and George Adegeye (LP, Lagos), Deputy Minority Whip.
