4 Dead, 5 Injured In Third Mainland Bridge Accident
No fewer than four people have feared dead in an accident that happened on May 01, 2022, at Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
The sad event took place in the morning at Adekunle Inter-change end of the bridge towards Iyana Oworo.
It was learned that a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number FST 241 YC lost control and fell into the River.
A source told Africa Investigative Magazine that the bus fell off the bridge as one of its front tyres burst when it was speeding, and capsized in the river.
The occupants were nine males and 11 females were on board when the incident occurred, while five of the occupants sustained injuries.
It was further learned that three female adults and one male adult died immediately on the spot.
The spokesman, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Command, Olusegun Ogundegbemide, confirmed the incident.
