72-Year-Old Woman Whose Geni.tals Were Cut Off By Domestic Worker Dies

A 72-year-old woman identified as Mrs Charity Okoli, whose genitals were allegedly cut off by her domestic worker, Onyebuchi Ezeh, alongside two other fleeing suspects, has died.

Recall that Africa Investigative Magazine, recently, reported that the deceased’s breasts, finger, tongue and priva.te par.t had been cut off by the three suspects for ritual purposes.

Mrs Okoli, however, was rescued by her neighbours who quickly took her to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, where she was receiving treatment before she gave up the ghost.

The incident grounded the commercial activities of the area as some women from the community on March 14, 2023, protested the death of the 72-year-old woman demanding the exit of all Abakaliki indigenes from their community as the principal suspect hails from Abakaliki.

The protesters who wielded placards with different descriptions and green leaves marched towards the Umunze Area Police Command headquarters, to the palace of the community’s traditional ruler, Igwe Promise Eze, and headed to the local government area, including other prominent personalities in the community.
