FEAR
Fear means an unpleasant emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. It’s simply meant to be afraid or apprehensive of somebody or something. How does it affect you? Fear prevents you from seizing opportunities. Overcoming fear helps confront certain situations that result in breakthroughs.
IGNORANCE
What is Ignorance? Ignorance is the state or fact of being ignorant; lack of knowledge, education, or awareness of something. How does it affect your life? Ignorance prevents you from making good decisions. Remember, the scripture says, ‘my people perish for lack of knowledge. You will not remain in the dark if you knew what to do. Do homework to root out the cause of that hurdles.
ANGER
Anger means a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism. Many of us cannot control our temperament. This has ruined us a lot of opportunities. Moses in the Holy Bible was not a bad man. He was a loyal and committed servant of God. Yet, anger prevented him from achieving his goal. Do you still wonder how it affects your life? Anger prevents you from seeing clearly. It leads to vengeance. It makes you judgmental and acts wrongly. Anger advances an action you regret later.
ENVY
Enviness and Jealousy have destroyed many homes, relationships, and marriages. Want to know what the dictionary says about envy? Envy is painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage. Envy prevents you from focusing on yourself and working hard to bring out the best in yourself. As you envy your neighbor or your friend, remember the things you have that they do not have.
EGO
Scientifically, ego is one of the three divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person and reality especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to reality. What do you intend to learn or achieve when you think you know it all or have it all? Ego prevents you from learning from others. On some occasions, even a teacher learns from students.
DOUBT
What is Doubt? Doubt is to call into question the truth of somebody or something. It means to be uncertain about an event or situation. It affects you by preventing you from believing in yourself and taking risks to follow your dreams.
HATRED
Hatred means extreme dislike or disgust. It prevents you from becoming a better person when you hate somebody or someone for no reason.
UNFORGIVENESS
This is when you refuse to let go. You still nurse ancestral thought and bitterness. As Christian, the Holy Bible charges us to forgive one another. Having an unforgiving spirit may prevent one from living as a free person.
