Nigerians have been greeted with an increase in the pump price of premium motor spirit popularly known asĀ petrol, as the product now sells at N617 in some NNPCL stations on July 18, 2023.
Petrol, formerly sold at N537 has been adjusted to N617 by some fuel stations in Abuja.
The NNPC mega filling station at Lugbe, Airport Road, adjusted its fuel price from N540 to N617.
Another Retail Outlets of NNPC-Limited around New Nyanya area on the border between Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory was selling the product at N700 per litre.
However, there has not been any official Statement either by NNPC-Limited or the Organised Independent Petroleum Marketers as at the time of filing this report.
Recall that Garba Deen Muhammad, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, on May 31, 2023, announced the adjustment of the pump prices of PMS across their retail outlets from N197 to N537.
Garba, however, explained that the adjustment was to reflect the current market realities at that time.
