“The man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one”

Kingsley Ogwu said that for a marriage to be successful, the couple must see their marriage as a primary project while their Parents and siblings are secondary, adding that the new couple has established a family of their own.

Reading from the Book of Genesis Chapter 2:18-25, the Apostle explained that a woman is gotten from the ribs of man which makes them one flesh and one bone.

He advised Emeka and his wife not only to see each other as one, but to be opened to each other.

He explained that when couples are open to each other so they can solve their problems together.

Apostle Ogwu encouraged couples to live as one and share things in common, saying that what belongs to the husband equally belongs to the wife, and vice versa.

Speaking further, Apostle Ogwu told the couple to be ready for good or bad thing that may come to them after marriage as it is not a bed of roses.

He made them understand that marriage is for better or for worse as againts the new idea of some churches that say, “for better, for best”.

He charged couples to share their sorrows and joy together and stand up for one another at difficult times.

Apostle Ogwu said people should not enter into marriage because of lust for beauty or money because when these things fade away, the marriage will crumble.

Explaining that true love is the bedrock of every marriage, he said love is not accidental, rather, it grows gradually.

“There are certain things you see in a person that makes you gradually develop love for that person.

” Love covers multitude of sins or the past life of the person you love. It does not fade away but lust will eventually fade away.

Speaking with Africa Investigative Magazine, the celebrant, Mrs. Chinenye Christabel Etumudo who was very happy, thanked God for the success of the occasion.

“This is the happiest day in my life. I pray for God’s abundant blessings in my marriage and the grace to be a good wife and mother.

Commenting, Miss Juliet Okolie, appreciated God for the successful wedding and prayed for a blessed marriage.
