Delta Monarch Hails Tompolo’s Role in Boosting Oil Production, Seeks National Honour
The Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, King Monday Arthur Whiskey, has praised High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his significant contributions in boosting oil production in Nigeria.
Arthur Whiskey also has called on President Bola Tinubu to confer a national honor on Tompolo, saying that the Niger Delta Activist is instrumental in achieving 1.8 million barrels per day, as recently declared by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL.
The Monarch commended Tompolo’s efforts for not only protecting national installations but also taking significant risks to combat oil theft.
According to him, Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, has been successful in increasing oil and gas production output to the Nigerian government, adding that Tompolo has helped restore the environment in the Niger Delta region, which had been severely degraded by oil theft.
While highlighting the creation of employment opportunities for youths in the Niger Delta area through the Tantita Security Project, he appealed to the federal government to expand and fund the project regularly, emphasizing the importance of regular salaries for the workers.
Recall that the Niger Delta illustrious son has received recognition for his efforts, the “Internal Security Meritorious Award” from the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.
His commitment to increasing oil production and protecting the environment has earned him praise from various quarters.
