Delta State Police Command Goes Tough On Criminals, Arrest Six Orhuwhorun Prince Murder Suspects
The Delta State Police Command has arrested six other suspects involved in the killing of Orhuwhorun Royal Prince, Prince Eric Takerere and two mobile police men.
It could be recalled that some gangsters in the past, killed Eric Takerere along two security operatives and carted away their rifles.
Further investigations proved that they attempted to murder Prince Franklyn Takerere, the brother of late Prince Eric Takerere.
Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that the police had on July 09, 2021 arrested Godspower Agabarhayowe, also known as GANAGANA and Tony Edwin in connection to the killing.
It was verified that the two suspects earlier arrested led the Anti-Kidnaping and Cybercrime Squad to Udu, Warri and Aladja where six other suspects were arrested.
The suspects were 36 years Onoriode Shefo, also know as Chikago, a 30 year old Omagbeosa Sholla, and 30 years old Godwin Obukoemu, who was also known as Million.
Others were 34 years old Ejime Mugagbam, Ejiroghenen Nushe and Egho Monday, 24 and 28 years old respectively.
The police recovered two AK47 rifles, one pump action gun, 38 rounds of live cartridges and one local pistol.
Also recovered at the armoury the suspects led the police to, were four magazines and seventy six rounds of live ammunition.
In a Press Release made available to newsmen by the state police command, the police spokespersonon, Edafe Bright said, “on the September 06, 2021, police operatives from the Delta State Anti-kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad (SAKCCS) carried out diligent and painstaking investigation on one Godspower Agabarhayowe “AKA” GANAGANA ‘m’ age 27 years and Tony Edwin ‘m’ age 27 years that were earlier arrested on the 09/07/2021 in connection to the murder.
“They led the police operatives to their hideout in Udu, Warri and Aladja area where six suspects namely Onoriode Shefo “AKA” Chikago “M” age 36YRS, Omagbeosa Sholla “M” age 30YRS, Godwin Obukoemu “AKA” Million “M” age 30YRS, Ejime Mugagbam “M” age 34YRS, Ejiroghenen Nushe “M” age 24YRS and Echo Monday “M” age 28YRS.
“They all confessed to being involved in the murder of Prince Eric Takerere, his two mobile policemen. They also led the operatives to their armory where two AK47 rifles, one pump action gun, one locally-made pistol, four magazines, seventy-six rounds of live ammunition, and thirty-eight rounds of live cartridges were recovered.
“Also on the 07/09/2021 at about 0420hrs DPO Ovwian Aladja received a distress call that armed robbers were operating at Obogo community. He mobilized Police Patrol Team and vigilantes in the community to the scene. The armed robbers on sighting the police patrol engaged the team in a gun duel but they could not withstand the superior firepower of the combined team.
“During the gun duel, one of the armed robbers sustained serious gunshot injury while two others escaped. The injured suspect was rushed to a nearby hospital but he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment. One locally made pistol with one live cartridge was recovered. The investigation is ongoing.”
