Ethiope East LG Boss, Ofobrukueta Hails Gov Oborevwori Over Supreme Court Judgment

The Executive Chairman, Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Hon. (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta, yesterday, congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court.

Chief Ikie Aghwarianovwe, a governorship aspirant of the PDP, had in October 2022 dragged Rt Hon Elder Oborevwori and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to court, alleging that Oborevwori submitted false documents to INEC to aid his qualification for 2019 House of Assembly election in Delta State.

The Ethiope East Council boss, Ofobrukueta, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Mr. Akpevwe Uhwarieme, said the Supreme Court having on last Friday dismissed the appeal brought by Chief Ikie, seeking the disqualification of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for lack of merit, has vindicated the governor of the allegations against him, hence the victory.

While commending the unanimous judgement of the apex court delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim, Ofobrukueta said the Supreme Court victory is not only for the governor, PDP family but for all Deltans, as Chief Ikie could not prove his case beyond reasonable doubt according to court.

Ofobrukueta, while congratulating the governor for the victory, he enjoined all Deltans to join him in the development of the state, pointing out that it is only in oneness and unity that Delta state can achieve much and attained a greater height in all levels of development.

He appealed to all patriotic Deltans both home and in diaspora to give their maximum supports to the Oborevwori’s administration so he can give to Deltans uncommon development which he has promised his people during his campaign.
