Former President Jimmy Carter Dies, Leaving Legacy of Peace and Human Rights

Former US President Jimmy Carter passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at his home in Plains, Georgia, surrounded by his family.

He was 100 years old, making him the longest-lived president in US history.

Carter is survived by his children, Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. His wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Smith Carter, passed away on November 19, 2023.

Chip Carter, the former president’s son, remembered his father as a hero who brought people together through his commitment to peace, human rights, and unselfish love.

“The world is our family because of the way he brought people together, and we thank you for honoring his memory by continuing to live these shared beliefs”.

A state funeral will be held to honor Carter’s life and legacy, with final arrangements pending. A private interment will follow in Plains, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the Carter family has requested donations to The Carter Center, a non-profit organization founded by Carter and his wife in 1982.

Carter’s legacy extends far beyond his presidency, with his humanitarian work earning him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. He will be remembered for his tireless efforts to advance peace, health, and human rights worldwide.

He Died, leaving legacy of peace and love humanity. The entitre universe will live to remember his enduring legacy.
