IGP Charges Media Practitioners On Balanced Crime Reportage, Congratulates New CRAN EXCOS

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has charged media practitioners with balanced crime reportage.
Usman Alkali gave the charge while congratulating the newly elected President of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), Olalekan Olabulo of the Tribune Newspaper, and other elected Executive Officials of the Association on their successes at the elections held on May 06, 2022, in Lagos State.

The IGP stated that the new officials were individuals who had distinguished themselves in their areas of service, noting that the election was just a recognition of their years of selfless service.
He thanked the outgoing officials led by the immediate past president, Sunday Odita, of the Guardian Newspaper, for their efforts in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere while discharging their statutory duties.

The police boss assured that his administration would leave no stone unturned in the fight against crimes and criminality in the country.
He urged the new officials to work collectively with the Nigeria Police Force to ensure a balanced reportage as the Force would collaborate with CRAN for a safe, secured and peaceful country in general.
