Ike Ekweremadu: The Love Of Children Should Not Bring Tears To Parents
MOMENT OF TRUTH with Richard.
By Richard E Ugbeh
Once again I greet all the followers of the ‘Moment of Truth’. We appreciate you all for your contributions, comments and constructive criticism.
For some months ago I’ve been following the innuendos and all sorts of unverified stories occasioned by the arrest of Sen. Ike Ekweremadu and Wife, a serving senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
What a sad and unpalatable news from a man and his wife who for the love of their child became a victim of circumstances! We, that are emotionally in nature, once the story of Ekweremadus come in to discussion, we tend to share tears because it could be you or me.
Their motives being good intentions to their beloved daughter wouldn’t have been better displayed than the latter option.

The pathetic aspect of the stories making rounds in various platforms was how he cornered the funds meant for upgrading a Medical center in his constituency which if were allowed to be, would have been a great soccur to him and others.
I remember vividly as if it was yesterday “Organ Harvesting” wasnt in our local lexicon except for those in the School of Medicine and its affiliates.
The love of our Children from creation has brought a lot of pains, agony and untold hardships to some parents. May we not experience it in Jesus Name, Amen.
I and my team commiserate with the family for what they are going through, it can’t be worse than this for the Ekweremadus. The love of a Child. Yes, it does make a man sacrifice his life for a child.
The love of a child that makes one to sell his cherished white superb Bicycle to ensure he met the bail condition. I remember one of the sound Bites of late sage, High Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo, “Do not be happy because of my misfortune today because tomorrow is pregnant.”
As e dey sweet you, e dey pain them. Parents are bound to face challenges from the love of children. Repeatedly, I mentioned it because they can make or mar parents.
For their sake I changed my attitude towards fellow men. Please we should commit the family in our various prayer groups for GOD and Man to intervene. God bless Nigeria!
