Just In: Court Denies Abba Kyari, ACP Ubua Bail Over Alleged Drug Deal

A Federal High Court, Abuja, has again on March 28, 2022 rejected the bail application filed by the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari and his co-defendants.

Recall that charged along with Abba Kyari along four others were arraigned for drugs related offences.

Others were Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Sunday Ubua, Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP Bawa James, Inspector Simon Agirigba, Inspector John Nuhu, Chibuinna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, maintained that the prosecution has placed sufficient materials before the court to warrant the refusal of bail to both senior police officers.

The judge who read stance from the bail applications of Inspector Simon Agirgba  Inspector, John Nuhu said the applicants have not met their bail conditions.
