The United Ndokwa For Growth And Development Association (UNFGDA) has appealed to the Delta State Government and other relevant authorities to urgently provide functional water and toilet facilities at Technical School, Kwale, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
Chairman of the association, Mr. Kunili Shola Friday, made the appeal in a statement, expressing concern over the condition of basic facilities at the institution and its implications for students and staff.
Kunili said the association had, since December, repeatedly appealed for government intervention, particularly the rehabilitation or construction of proper toilet facilities and provision of a functional borehole for the school.
He stressed that the appeal was not politically motivated but focused on the welfare and educational needs of the students.
According to him, Technical School, Kwale remains an important institution for education and skills development among young people in Ndokwa West and should therefore be provided with facilities conducive to effective learning.
The UNFGDA chairman urged the authorities to take concrete action rather than make further promises, stressing that the students deserve clean and functional toilets, safe and reliable water supply and a healthy learning environment.
Kunili said improving the condition of the school is essential to securing a better future for the children and urged stakeholders to ensure that Technical School, Kwale was not neglected.
