Man Remanded For Stealing Cow Skin Worth N8,500

A Sharia Court in Kano State has on August 08, 2023, remanded a 23-year-old man, Abdulwahab Yusuf for stealing a cow skin popularly known as pomo.

The trial Judge, Umar Lawal-Abubakar, instructed the remand of Yusuf who pleaded guilty to stealing a cow skin worth N8,500 at a correction centre.

Yusuf, a resident of Tukuntawa Quarters, Kano, was arraigned by State Police for stealing a cow skin belonging to one Fatihu Auwal.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdullahi Wada, notified the court that the complainant, Fatihu Auwal, a resident of Tukuntawa Quarters, reported the matter at the Fagge Police Station, Kano, on August 05, 2023.

Wada further told the court that the defendant entered the complainant’s stand and stole the cow skin.

Umar Lawal-Abubakar, however, adjourned the case until August 22, for trial as the defendant pleaded guilty as charged.
