May 29: FG Orders Closure Of Roads Linking Secretariat Complexes

As part of effort to ensure hitch-free transition of power from President Mohammed Buhari administration to the incoming government, the Federal Government has ordered the closure of roads linking the Federal Secretariat Complexes.
The roads to the affected complexes which included Phase I, II, III and Ministry of Foreign Affairs are to be closed from 2:00 p. m. on May 26, 2023, to May 29, 2023.

This was contained in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, Office of the Head of the Service of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Dr Ngozi Onwudiwe.
Onwudiwe stated that the order is in conformity with security layout by the Presidential Transition Committee, for the smooth conduct of the inauguration parade for the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu on May 29.
The circular said, “Accordingly, officers and intending visitors to the affected areas will not be allowed access till Tuesday, May 30 when work will resume in earnest.”
