Moment Of Truth: When The Going Is Smooth

MOMENT OF TRUTH with Richard.

By Richard Ugbeh –

Once again, I throw-way salute to the good people of our dear country, Nigeria. The campaign and subsequent elections have come and gone leaving behind many casualties that could be recovered if lucky.

The unlucky ones are already in the grave telling the stories of a journey that brought them there. That’s life for you. I have discovered in the journey of any competitive positions that needs campaigning for and all that needs to be done to get it.

One must have followers who believe in you base on your past records and the current status. Now when the expectation is thwarted and the unexpected happened, that’s is where the true followers showcase themselves, People & Event.

Once a man of iron and timber has been abandoned to his fate because he could not make it. I remember all as if it was yesterday the music of Willie Onyeabor titled, “When the going is smooth and good, many many people will be your friend but when the going is bad, many many people will run away like Ben Johnson.

Other Stories:

Success has many relations while failure is an orphan. People and Event. Recently, our president elect number of friends had swelled up in geometrical progression why because of his new incoming status as the C&C.

Even those who cooked up unverifiable stories about him trooped to Defence house residence for now, for reintroductions and lobbying. Father U turn was a popular musician of yore. People are not constant as nature made it so. Do not completely tell the story of that friend until he or she has money.

Integrity and honesty are hidden in poverty. People are ready to fight and if possible die for a man of opulence. Money answereth all things as the Holly book puts it, but do we go about shielding innocent blood and stepping on toes because of wealth? Meaningless.

The richest people around the world, their success stories never associated with killings of any sort. Human beings are chameleonic in nature, people and changes are part of the game and is allowed.

May God continue to give us the wisdom and understanding to differentiate our friends from foes in this era of, “I didn’t give a dam syndrome”.
